BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University 2011 season ticket packages for football are currently on sale. This season will mark the first year that FAU will play its home games in the new, 30,000 seat stadium at its Boca Raton campus.
To be one of the first to experience the 2011 season in the on-campus stadium, season ticket packages can be purchased with prices beginning as low as $135 if purchased before May 6. After May 6, a season ticket package will begin at $150. The Owls are slated to play five home games in the new stadium, with the season opener taking place on Saturday, October 15.
The Owls began in 2001 with their opening game at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, where fans gathered to witness the University's first FAU football game. In 2003, FAU moved closer to home and played at Fort Lauderdale's Lockhart Stadium.
The new FAU stadium is the centerpiece of FAU's Innovation Village, located in the north central area of campus. A $70 million project, it is slated to feature 6,000 premium seats, including 24 suites, 26 loge boxes, 1,000 premier club seats and 4,000 priority club seats, and the latest, state-of-the art amenities.
