Men's Soccer Rained Out on Wednesday

BOCA RATON, FL - Lightning struck three times during Wednesday's rain-shortened exhibition against Lynn, however the first two came off the foot of FAU striker Darnell King.

Last season's leading goal scorer recorded two early tallies as FAU played their second tune-up match of the preseason before lightning and thunder halted play about 30 minutes in.

"It wasn't enough time to get a full read on how we played," said head coach Kos Donev.

Redshirt junior Andre McCreath also had a strong showing during the exhibition, the midfielder tallied one assist on King's first goal and recorded two shots on target.

FAU will have one more exhibition match this Saturday on the road at Nova Southeastern.

The regular season is scheduled to get underway next Fri. Sept. 3 at Jacksonville.

The home opener for the Owls is set for Fri. Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. against Georgia State.
