Arnie Mausser Rounds Out Men's Soccer Coaching Staff

BOCA RATON, FL (July 30, 2010) - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team has named Arnie Mausser as the assistant coach for the upcoming 2010 season.
Mausser will be in charge of coaching the goalkeepers and will serve as a second assistant to head coach Kos Donev and newly named first assistant Tom Newell.
"We're very excited to have Arnie join our staff," said Donev. "He brings a wealth of professional experience not only as a coach but also as a player, and the program is enthusiastic to have him on board."
Since 2007, Mausser served as an assistant coach for the Lynn University men's soccer program. He was inducted into the United States Soccer Hall of Fame for his outstanding career as a player and coach in 2003.
The Brooklyn, New York native was a coach at the professional level for two seasons with the Miami Fusion of Major League Soccer (MLS) from 2000-01.
His playing career at the professional level spanned 10 seasons across eight different franchises in the North American Soccer League (NASL) from 1975-1984.
In international play, Mausser recorded 35 appearances for the U.S. National Team and tallied 10 shutouts in goal.
Mausser graduated from FAU with a B.A. in business administration in 1974. He also has received his M.B.A. in international business from the University of Miami.
