Darnell King Earns Second Team All-Conference Honors

BOCA RATON, FL - The Mid-America Conference recently announced that FAU men's soccer forward Darnell King has been named to the second team all-conference.

"We are very proud of Darnell's accomplishments this season," said Kos Donev, FAU men's soccer head coach. "He is a leader on and off the pitch and the program is very grateful for his efforts."

King was selected as one of three captains prior to the start of the season and led FAU in all major offensive categories in 2010 including goals (four), assists (two), points (10) and shots (36).

The Tampa native has scored 12 goals in his FAU career including three game-winning goals. The Owls finished the regular season on November 6 with a 2-1 loss to Bowling Green University.

King scored the lone goal in the season finale loss to the Falcons on November 6.

The former Gaither High School standout will return for his senior season next year.
