BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University softball team lost a close game to conference foe Louisiana-Lafayette, 2-0 on Wednesday.
The game was delayed for nearly two hours due to rain. The Ragin' Cajuns scored a run in the top of the second on a Gabriele Bridges homerun and added an insurance run in the top of the fourth inning.
FAU's best chance to score came in the fifth inning when Amber Barton led off the inning with a single and advanced to second on a ULL fielding error. However, she was ultimately left stranded at third.
FAU wraps up their seven-game homestand with a three-game series against ULM this weekend. Saturday's doubleheader begins at 6 p.m.
