BOCA RATON, FL - A great all-around effort by Rose Gressley came up short as the Florida Atlantic University softball team was unable to avoid a sweep at the hands of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday night.
Gressley went 2-for-3 and surrendered only four hits in the second game, but a fifth inning error proved costly as FAU lost 1-0. The Owls lost the evening's first game 8-0 in five innings.
The Owls will look to avoid the sweep in the series finale on Tuesday. The game starts at 3 p.m. and live stats will be available via GameTracker at www.fausports.com.
