Potter Named Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week

BOCA RATON, FL - Freshman Carrie Ann Potter was named Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Potter threw her second no-hitter of the season in FAU's 3-0 win over Towson on Saturday night. She joined Candice Freel and Nikki Myers as the only Owl pitchers to throw multiple no-hitters in the same season. Potter leads the conference in both ERA (0.16) and saves (three).

It is the third time this season an Owl has been recognized by the conference. Caitlyn Bliss was named conference player of the week each of the first two weeks of the season.

The FAU softball team returns to action on Thursday when they host Liberty at 6 p.m.
