BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic softball team split its two games on the second day of the Lipton Invitational.

In their first game of the day, the Owls defeated Texas Tech 1-0. The game's only run came in the third inning when Blair Bodenmiller drove in Caitlyn Bliss on an RBI single to center field.

Carrie Ann Potter gave up only five hits to throw her second consecutive complete game.

FAU lost to #1 Florida 13-0 in their second game of the day. The Owls will conclude action at the Lipton Invitational on Sunday at 12:15 p.m. when they face Coastal Carolina. Live stats will be available via GameTracker at fausports.com.
