BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's tennis team traveled to Tallahassee where the Owls fell to no. 11 Florida State University.

The two teams came off the court following the doubles match with the Seminoles holding a one point advantage after taking each of the three doubles matches.

Singles play began with FAU newcomer Santiago Nieto taking the first singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-2.

Florida State would take the next four before sophomore Marc Abdelnour defeated Vahid Mirzadeh at no. 1 singles in three-hard fought sets at 6-7(3), 7-7, 10-5.

Both Joshua Scholl and Eddie Majcher took their matches to three sets playing no. 4 and no. 5, respectively.

The loss drops the Owls record to 1-1 on the season.
