FAU Women's Soccer Falls 3-0 at Stetson

DELAND, FL - Florida Atlantic University dropped a 3-0 decision to Stetson University in a non-conference women's soccer match Friday night.
Stetson (2-4-1) scored twice in the first half and tacked on another in the second, improving to 8-14 all-time against FAU. The two Florida schools played annually from 1993-2006 when both programs were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Florida Atlantic (1-4-0) will look to rebound Sunday afternoon when they play BIG EAST member USF in Tampa. The Owls have lost three-straight.
Five different FAU players put shots on goal. Forward Ashley Mannarino totaled a season-high four shots - three were saved by Stetson keeper Andrea Garavalgia. FAU's Janelle Blake got off two shots and is FAU's season-leader with nine.
Tessa Gavalski scored Stetson's second goal in the 38th minute and assisted in both others.
The next chance to watch the Owls at FAU Field on the Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road, is Friday, September 26 against Sun Belt Conference rival Western Kentucky University.
