Florida Atlantic Head Coach Kevin Cooney
On the win: "Again Alex Silversmith had a big homerun for us. I thought Beliveau pitched a great game until he lost his composure and got ejected. Then Gipson came in and did a solid job in relief and then Eberhart did a good job here at the end. The game should have been over on the ground ball to first there at the end and I just didn't want to leave Gipson out there. I wanted to get a fresh arm in there and it worked. The big problem tonight is going to be trying to piece together a starting line-up with Silversmith and Arata out with cramps. So we have to get the reports on those guys and see if you can play them.
On the momentum swing: "The ejection completely changed the game. Young men are supposed to keep their composure and evidently he didn't keep it enough in the opinion of the umpire. That was a big swing of momentum for WKU. I have never seen a starting pitcher ejected in a tournament game like that and I guess he must have deserved it."
WKU Head Coach Chris Finwood
On the next game: "We just talked about it and that was heck of a ballgame. We lost 6-5 and we are all fighting for our lives now. I thought that their pitcher did a really good job on the mound and they strung together some hits early. We hung in there and battled back and made it a one run game. We had the tying run on second base at the end but it was just their game and it was meant to be for them. We have a couple of hours to regroup and try to get a couple of hours of rest and come back out here. It might end up being the team that can field the most players might win it because it seems like everybody is going down with cramps. If I would have told our guys back in August that we only had to win one game to make it to the championship game in the Sun Belt then I think they would have taken it."
