The Florida Atlantic University football team continued the final week of spring practices on Wednesday. The Owls had a regular practice on a cool, breezy day outside of the Tom Oxley Athletic Center.
The Owls worked on a number of sets during seven-on-seven and full team drills. Rusty Smith and the offense looked solid during seven-on-seven's, as Smith found Chris Bonner, Jason Harmon, and William Rose out of the backfield. During team drills, Smith executed passes in the flat to DiIvory Edgecomb, who has seen considerable time out of the backfield during spring drills, and then he hit Cortez Gent on a wide receiver screen.
On April 19, join the defending Sun Belt and New Orleans Bowl Champion Owls for the eighth annual spring game at 2 p.m. at the FAU track and field complex. Enjoy a sneak preview of the Owls 2008 season, complete with an interactive area for the kids, memorabilia surplus sale, and a special appearance from the FAU cheerleaders and Owsley the mascot.
Season tickets are on sale now for the 2008 regular season. They can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS or by logging on to www.fausports.com.
