Owls Fall to No. 14 Hawai'i 6-0

PALM SPRINGS, CA - The Florida Atlantic softball team lost to Hawai'i 6-0 in their second game of the day at the Palm Springs Classic. The Owls defeated no. 6 LSU 3-0 in their first game of the day.
The Owls (5-7) fell behind in the bottom of the first inning when Hawaii scored two runs on three hits and an FAU error. The Warriors added two runs in the second to take a 4-0 lead. They added a run in both the fifth and sixth innings to make the game 6-0.
FAU was unable to catch up to Hawai'i pitcher Kate Robinson as she allowed just five hits on the night. Amber Barton fell to 3-3 on the season. The Owls continue play at the Palm Springs Classic on Saturday when they face the United States Olympic Team at 8:30 p.m. eastern, followed by the University of the Pacific at 11 p.m. eastern.
