The Florida Atlantic University football team was right back out on the practice field on Sunday, as they tried to polish things up on both sides of the ball after yesterday's scrimmage during Fanfest.
Kickoff coverage was one of the areas that FAU worked on during today's practice. The Owls spent today looking to improve in coverage over yesterday's showing. The offense worked primarily on short passes and screens in team workouts. The tight ends had a good day, as quarterback Rusty Smith found Jason Harmon on a go route for a 50-yard score. Later in red zone drills, Smith hit Rob Housler in stride for a 20 yard touchdown.
The Owls return to three-a-day practices on Monday at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 4:30 p.m. All practices are open to the public. Season tickets and individual tickets are on sale now as FAU kicks off its 2007 season against Sun-Belt co-champion Middle Tennessee State on Saturday, September 1st at 4 p.m. at Lockhart Stadium. For tickets, call the FAU ticket office at 1-866-FAU-OWLS.
