The Florida Atlantic University track team ran at the Auburn Invitational over the weekend.
The Owls used the meet as preparation for the Sun Belt Conference Championships, which will be held in Lafayette, LA on May 11-13. Brittany Vollmer ran well, coming close to setting personal records in both the 400 meters and 400-meter hurdles. Trishauna Clarke finished fifth in the high jump for the Owls.
In the 800 meters, FAU placed two runners in the top-10 as both Toni Jackson and Patricia Gumbs set personal records in the process. Friederike Feil finished second the 5,000 meters and Yanique Booth finished third in the 100-meter hurdles, continuing her strong outdoor season. The Owl 4x100 meter relay team finished second, trailing only UNC-Charlotte. The 4x400 relay team finished ninth in that event.
The Owls travel to Orlando next weekend to participate in the Golden Knight Twilight meet.
