The Florida Atlantic University football team will try to get back on the winning track this Saturday, when they face Arkansas State in the last home football game of the year. Game time at Lockhart Stadium is scheduled for 4 p.m.
Once again, there are a full weekend of events planned leading up to kickoff. On Thursday, join fellow FAU supporters, Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger and his staff for happy hour at Miller's East Boca Ale House, 1200 Yamato Road, Boca Raton, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be appetizers and drink specials available, plus a chance to win free FAU prizes.
Friday morning, join Coach Schnellenberger for the Coaches breakfast at 8 a.m. at the Founders' Lounge inside the Tom Oxley Athletic Center. Breakfast will be provided free courtesy of Dunkin' Donuts. Coach Schnellenberger and his staff will go over the scouting reports for Saturday's game with Arkansas State.
On Saturday, FAU will face Arkansas State at Lockhart Stadium. It is senior day, their will be a recognition ceremony prior to kickoff between the Owls and the Indians. Also, Labor Finders, Emerald Towing, Sports Clips and the School Board of Broward County will bus and host the service men and women of the USS Iwo Jima LPD-7, docked in Port Everglades. The crew will present the colors prior to the national anthem, the Iwo Jima's Sailor of the Year will flip the coin prior to kickoff, and their will be a presentation honoring the men and women of the United States Navy during the game. All of this is in conjunction with Veteran's Day on Monday, November 12.
