Lamarre Wins Conference Honors Yet Again

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University goalie Phillip Lamarre has been named Atlantic Soccer Conference Rookie of the Week.

It is the second time this season Lamarre has been recognized by the conference. He was named Goalie of the Week on Sept. 12 after recording two straight shutouts.

Lamarre played extremely well over the weekend. In the Owls' two matches, Lamarre made a total of seven saves and allowed just one goal. The Owls went 1-0-1 over the weekend. The freshman from Margate is also third among Atlantic Soccer Conference keepers in save percentage, stopping almost 76 percent of opponents' shots on goal.

FAU tied Longwood 1-1 on Friday night. The two teams are also tied for third place in the conference after the first weekend of league play.

The Owls' next match is on Wednesday, October 4th when they travel to Tampa to play the USF Bulls. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
