The Florida Atlantic University football team hit the practice field with added intensity on Tuesday as the team prepares for the University of North Texas on Saturday and the squad's final road trip of the season. Head Coach Howard Schnellenberger was pleased with his team's effort.
"We had a very good practice," said Schnellenberger. "It was one of our best practices in a long time. The team responded to the call to refocus, rededication and oneness."
Quarterback Sean Clayton returned to practice on Tuesday after suffering a concussion and sitting out last weekend's game. He took snaps behind Rusty Smith who is expected to get his third start of the season against the Mean Green on Saturday.
The scrimmage at the end of practice was highlighted by a 50-yard touchdown pass from Smith to sophomore Chad Wilkes.
