Owls Head to Sun Belt Tournament as no. 8 Seed

The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team will head to the Sun Belt Conference Tournament this week as the no. 8 seed after winning two matches this past weekend. The Owls will face no. 1 Middle Tennessee in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 1 p.m. et.
Middle Tennessee picked up the tournament's top seed after defeating no. 2 Western Kentucky this past weekend 3-1. Florida International enters as the no. 3 seed and tied with the top-two teams with a 14-3 league record. North Texas, New Orleans, Arkansas State and Denver round out the bracket and make the tournament out of the West Division.
FAU has faced the Blue Raiders twice this season with each team winning at home. In the last meeting on October 27, FAU swept Middle Tennessee in Boca Raton.
The winner of the FAU/MTSU match will face either North Texas of New Orleans on Friday at 6 p.m. et. The second match on Friday will feature the winner of Florida International/Arkansas State against Western Kentucky/Denver.
The tournament runs November 16-18 with the championship match on Saturday at 4 p.m. et. The University of North Texas is hosting the event in Denton, TX.
