Men's Soccer Falls To USF In OT

Tampa, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost to USF 1-0 in overtime Wednesday night. The loss drops the Owls to 3-6-1 on the season.
The game was a physical affair that featured a total of 38 fouls. The teams ended regulation in a scoreless tie in spite of the two teams combing to take 21 shots. Both teams had good opportunities to score in regulation. In the 27th minute, USF's Anthony Wallace had a shot hit off of the crossbar.
FAU' s best chance to score came late in the second half, when Danny Gruberg's shot was blocked in the 87th minute. Each team had several other chances to score, but were unable to convert and the game went into extra time still tied 0-0.
The only goal of the match game early in extra time as USF forward Jordan Seabrook recieved a pass behind the Owl defense and was able to chip the ball over charging FAU keeper Phillip Lamarre for the score.
FAU resumes Atlantic Soccer Conference action on Saturday when it plays host to Adelphi. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
