Paiva Named A-Sun Player of the Week

After guiding the Florida Atlantic University volleyball team to a 3-0 start to the season, Kelly Paiva was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week. The senior outside hitter compiled 64 kills and 29 digs to be named the FAU Invitational MVP.
The Brazil native, recorded a career-high 28 kills against Florida International and tied a career-high with three aces in a win over Stetson University earlier in the day on Saturday.
She averaged 4.92 kills per game and finished second on the team with 2.15 digs per game in wins over Bethune-Cookman, Stetson and FIU.
The team will remain at home this weekend as it hosts Bethune-Cookman, Fairfield and Furman in the FAU DoubleTree Classic. Matches are scheduled to start on Friday at 5 pm with six matches slated for the weekend.
