BOCA RATON, FL -- In the midst of its second bye week of the season Florida Atlantic University returned to the practice field on Wednesday afternoon in preparation for its final game of the 2005 season.
The Owls earned their second win of the year last Saturday by defeating North Texas 26-23. FAU will look to cap of their season with a win on Nov. 25 when it battles FIU in the Shula Bowl.
Quarterback Sean Clayton is getting more comfortable in coach Howard Schnellenberger's offense during each practice, while the players confidence continues to grow. "We had a really good practice today. The offense was making plays and the defense continued to challenge us," wide receiver Casey McGahee said.
Safety Greg Joseph picked off a deflected pass during scrimmage play.
The Owls will return to the practice field tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
