BOCA RATON, FL -- On Thursday afternoon the Florida Atlantic University football team continued its preparation for the school's fifth homecoming game.
The Owls' offense was very efficient during scrimmage play, running a good balance of rushing and passing plays.
Since the program's inaugural season in 2001, FAU is 3-1 in homecoming games. They have wins over Jacksonville, Morris Brown, and Gardner-Webb.
The Owls bring the top-ranked pass defense in the Sun Belt Conference into Saturday's showdown against Middle Tennessee State. FAU is giving up just 174.7 yards a game through the air.
Quarterback Danny Embick leads the second best passing attack in the conference as he looks to lead the Owls to their third straight victory over the Raiders.
Kickoff set for 4 p.m. For tickets call 1-866-FAU OWLS.
