BOCA RATON, FL - The Florida Atlantic University football team practiced in helmets without pads in its final preparations for Troy. The offense and defense worked the majority of practice against Trojan scout teams before breaking into two minute drills. The Owls arrive in Troy on Friday with game time is set for 3:30 pm on Saturday.
Jared Allen led an impressive two-minute drill against the first team defense, completing six of seven passes. Doug Parker caught a pass on the one-yard line before adding the score on a one-yard run. Danny Embick also led the team to a touchdown against the second team defense.
The team concluded practice with field goal drills. Mark Myers connected on his first five before missing from 55-yards out.
Jarrid Smith (left ankle) did not practice.
