BOCA RATON, FL - Great weather followed the Florida Atlantic University football team for a second consecutive day. FAU (3-0) worked 22 periods in full pads as the team continued its preparation for Texas State (2-2). Jared Allen ran most of the offensive plays against the Bobcat's defensive scout team while the first and second defensive teams ran against the Bobcat's offensive scout team.
The Owls opened practice with punt block, offensive line, defensive line and quarterback drills. Derek Zak and B.J. Manley each blocked a kick on special teams. William Gray had a good day in trench drills against the offensive line, beating left tackle Dave Richards on a couple of plays.
Doug Parker returned to practice after missing the last two days while Ben Coker practiced on a limited basis.
FAU returns to practice on Thursday at 3:30 pm. Practice is free and open to the public.
