Jared Allen and Chris Laskowski earned top honors at the 2003 Florida Atlantic University Football Annual Awards Banquet, sponsored by the FAU Gridiron Club.
Allen, who ended the season as the nation's fourth best quarterback according to passing efficiency, led the Owls to an 11-3 record and a no. 4 national ranking. The junior orchestrated the final two minutes of FAU's come-from behind victory over Middle Tennessee State University. The victory was the program's first Division I-A win and was the fastest any start-up program secured a I-A win, the program's 22nd game. Joining Allen as the teams MVP was Laskowski. Laskowski ended 2003 with 93 total tackles which was second on the squad. He also had two interceptions, one fumble recovery and forced three fumbles. Clearly a team leader, he played the middle portion of the season with a broken hand. Laskowski was described by one a I-A coach prior to the match-up as a quiet assassin.
It marked the second time the two individuals had won the honor. Allen was the 2001 Team MVP. Laskowski earned the honor in 2002
Other team recipients were:
-Senior MVP, Quentin Swain, Sponsored by Balistreri Realty. Team leading 104 tackles.
-Non-Scholarship MVP, Jerrell Terry, Sponsored by Alumni Association. Terry tallied 61 tackles and two interceptions
-Most Improved Player, Johnnie Sloan, Sponsored by Davidson Hurricane Protection. 57 Tackles, 18 for a loss of 34 yards, and six sacks.

-Offensive Player of the Year, Anthony Crissinger-Hill, sponsored by Jim and Shannon Vandevere. Crissinger-Hill set a new program high with 1,134 single-season yards. He tied the program high with nine single-season touchdowns with teammate Roosevelt Bynes and tied the single-game record with two touchdowns in a game, again with Bynes.
