With a 4.0 GPA, Florida Atlantic University volleyball player Giovana Milaneze earned College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District III First Team honors. The senior outside hitter will graduate in May with a degree in International Business.
Milaneze (Sao Paulo, Brazil) not only excels in the classroom but has helped guide FAU to its eighth straight Atlantic Sun Tournament. She averages 1.43 kills per game and 1.44 digs per game for the Owls. Against Troy State this season she picked up a season-high 16 kills, 14 digs and four blocks as FAU went on to defeat the Trojans in four games.
The Palm Beach Community College transfer has also done extensive volunteer work around the community helping out the Special Olympics, the high school volleyball club Club4U, the YMCA and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Five other players from the southeast region along with Milaneze will represent District III on the National Ballot.
