Kristoffer Aarskog Earns A-Sun Weekly Honors

Macon, GA - Florida Atlantic University's men's soccer forward Kristoffer Aarskog was named the Atlantic Sun Offensive Player-of-the-Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Aarskog played a pivotal role in the Owls two wins over A-Sun opponents, leading the team to its first 2-0 start in conference play since 2001. Aarskog leads the team and conference with 10 goals and 22 points.
Aarskog, a junior from Bergen, Norway, was named the A-Sun Offensive Player-of-the-Week after scoring three goals, including two game-winners, against Stetson and Jacksonville. His goal against Stetson with nine minutes remaining gave the Owls their first win over the Hatters since November 2, 2000. He added two more goals in a 3-1 win over Jacksonville as FAU improved to 5-5-1 overall and 2-0 in A-Sun play. Aarskog has been named Offensive Player-of-the-Week for the second time this season and the fourth time in his career.
FAU travels to Orlando, FL to play against Central Florida on Sunday, October 12 at 3:30 pm. The Owls return home Thursday, October 23 to play against Lipscomb University at 8 pm.
