BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University closed out its regular season Saturday afternoon in a 7-0 victory against visiting Bethune-Cookman College. The Owls (16-4), ranked no. 53 in the nation, took on a skeleton Wildcats' team that brought just four players. FAU won two doubles matches and four singles matches while winning the other points by default.

FAU's singles wins included Doug Devriendt at no. 1 and Martin Jirak at no. 2. Sandro Spotti and Andre Buzzoni also posted wins at no. 3 and no. 4, respectively. All wins were in straight sets. Matches at no. 5 and no. 6 were won by FAU by default.

In doubles, Devrient and Cristian Paiz won at no. 1 while Jirak and Spotti claimed a victory at no. 2. FAU won the no. 3 doubles contest by default.

Florida Atlantic next takes part in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament in Macon, GA. Matches begin April 18 and conclude April 21. FAU is the defending A-Sun champion.
