BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University, ranked no. 48 nationally, cruised past visiting Northern Iowa Wednesday afternoon, 6-0, in Boca Raton. The win improves FAU to 12-3 on the year.

FAU took two doubles matches before racing through singles play. Doug Devriendt picked up a victory at no. 1 over UNI's Harry Walsh, 6-2, 7-6. Cristian Paiz defeated Khambula Msiska 6-0, 6-3 at no. 2 for his ninth straight victory. Meanwhile, F.J. Schofield, ranked no. 112 in the nation, defeated Zane Krog, 6-1, 6-0, at no. 4. Ernest Diaz picked up a win at no. 5 while John Johnson had a straight sets victory at no. 6 over Albert Asiedu-Ofei.

Florida Atlantic returns to Atlantic Sun Conference play Saturday against Georgia State. That match will begin at 2:00pm at Patch Reef Park in Boca Raton.
