Buies Creek, NC - For the third consecutive year, a member of the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Tournament team. Sophomore Kelly Hoffman was named to the 2002 A-Sun team after a stellar game against Jacksonville University as announced by the conference Saturday night.
Hoffmann, an Evansville, IN. native, played every minute of the 3-2 overtime loss to JU in the semi-finals of the 2002 A-Sun Championship. She played a solid game in which she controlled the tempo and flow of the game and especially picked up her game in the absence of first team all-conference player Rhonda Jones. Hoffmann had two goals and an assist for five points during the season, including the game-winning goal in the Lady Owls first win of the season over Western Carolina.
