Women's Track and Field Competes at TAAC Championship

ORLANDO, FL -
Florida Atlantic University began competition Friday at the Trans America Athletic Conference Championship in Orlando, FL. It was the first TAAC Championship for the inaugural Lady Owls.
Daveidra Jenkins highlighted Fau's day-one efforts as she qualified in the 100-meter dash with a 12.25. She advances to Saturday's final in the event.
In other action, Cindy Lane and Erica Emmerson placed 10th and 11th, respectively, in the 100-meter high hurdles. Meredith Murphy finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 15-10.25 (4.83m) and 19th in the 100-meter dash preliminaries (13.08). Katrina Lindsey and Celena Bibbins finished 13th and 14th, respectively, in the long jump.
Competition concludes Saturday.
