Closing In On Conference Opponents

The Florida Relays hosted teams from all over the eastern half of the country, both high school and collegiately. Florida Atlantic University held its own in the four-day event.
Trans America Athletic Conference opponents Troy State, Central Florida, and Jacksonville participated in the relays. The Lady Owls were able to see how they measured up against conference teams three weeks before the TAAC Championship. The relay teams continued to be the strength for FAU as the 4x400 relay placed eighth (3:54.93), only .1 second behind Troy State. FAU finished just .2 seconds behind the University of Central Florida with a time of 48.10, and earned a ninth place finish in the 4x100 relay.
Princess Williams took 15th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.31. Katrina Lindsey and Meredith Murphy placed 17th (4.99m) and 19th (4.93m), respectivley, in the long jump.
Florida Atlantic partakes in the Spec Town Invitational on April 7th before traveling to the TAAC Championship in Orlando on April 20.
