BOCA RATON - Three runs in the seventh inning and a two-run eighth helped Florida Atlantic (19-10) earn its seventh come-from-behind victory this season. FAU defeated Northeastern (2-4), 6-4.
Florida Atlantic, held scoreless through four, took advantage of a Shaen O'Connor RBI double, his second double of the season, which scored Alex Fernandez from first. FAU used two pinch hitters in the seventh to push across three runs to take their first lead of the game.
Northeastern tied the game at four in the top of the eighth only to see FAU use a first and third steal to take a two run advantage and the game's 6-4 final.
FAU will play an unscheduled game today at 10:45 against Hartford University at FAU Stadium. The team will then travel to North Carolina for a three-game Trans America Athletic Conference series versus Campbell University.
