In her third season at Florida Atlantic University, Gracie Heim accumulated 331 kills and 82 block assists to break her previous season-highs. These accomplishments have helped her land a place on the 2001 All-Conference second team in the Atlantic Sun.
Heim (Indian Harbour Beach, FL/Satellite HS) has recorded 20 double-digit kill matches this season in 26 matches played. She rose to the occasion in conference play this year as she collected a season-high 23 kills against Samford University and twice during the season she has shut down A-Sun opponents by posting eight blocks.
She will help lead the Lady Owls into this weekend's conference tournament hosted by FAU. Florida Atlantic enters the tournament as the no. 4 seed and will face Jacksonville University at 10 am on Friday. The winner of game one will play no. 1 seed Georgia State at 4 pm with the Championship Match held at noon on Saturday.
