Kristen Jordan is ranked 62nd nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's first preseason top-100 poll released this week. It marks the highest ranking any FAU tennis player has received. Jordan was last year's Trans America Athletic Conference player-of-the-year as she complied a 25-3 record.
This fall, the Naples native had an 11-2 record. That inlcudes winning the singles title at the C.L. Varner Invitational as well as advancing to the final of the Hurricane Classic. She won 22 consecutive matches from the end of last year through the beginning of fall play this season. In November, Jordan advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA South Regional Championship. Her overall record at FAU since joining the team last season is 36-5.
The women's tennis team opens its season January 27 at Miami.
