Jake Brestel is entering his first year as Director of Operations for the Florida Atlantic Women's Basketball program after being hired in September 2014. His duties include the coordination of FAU's team travel and practices, and also serves as the liaison between the basketball office and other departments around athletics. Brestel comes to the Owls after spending the last three years as an accountant in Breckenridge, CO.

Brestel played wide receiver for Kansas State University for two years, and was a member of the 2003 Big XII championship winning team. He also previously served under Coach Lewis-Jay at the University of Nebraska, where Brestel was the Head Manager for two years.

In 2009, Brestel earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska in Business Administration, with minors in accounting and political science. He is a native of Lincoln, NE.
