Joined Florida Atlantic University as an athletic trainer fellow in the summer of 2022
Initially, he focused his attention on football
In January of 2023, shifted his concentration to managing the healthcare for the Owls' men's basketball team
After the Owls magical run to the Final Four he was elevated to assistant athletic trainer, which allowed him to focus on men's basketball and men's golf
In January of 2025, his concentration shifted to the care of men's and women's cross country/women's track & field
At UCF
Joined the Knights for an athletic training internship in January through June 2022
Provided assessment of baseline vitals for orthopedic screening, assisted with spring football coverage as well as track and field practices
Powell also helped provide treatment, rehabilitation, manual therapies, and utilized modalities.
At Tattnall Sqaure Academy
Assisted the head athletic trainer with coverage of football, softball, and both boys and girls basketball
At Georgia Military College Preparatory School
Gained experience as an athletic trainer from July through December of 2020
At Mount de Sales Academy
Served as an athletic trainer from January through May of 2021
