2004: Played in eight games a year ago, slowed by injuries...was the starting free safety against one of the nation's most prolific offenses, Hawaii...recorded a season-high seven tackles, six solo...second best game came against Florida A&M, recorded five tackles...broke up two passes and recorded one QB hurry...ended the year with 15 solo tackles and nine assists for 24 total tackles.
2003: Injuries among the defensive backs accelerated his game time...recorded a tackle in nine games...tallied four (3-1) in his first start, against Illinois State, and four (2-2) against Siena...ended his freshman campaign with 16 total tackles, including 11 solo...recorded a fumble recovery against Siena...was also a member of the special teams, returning four kick-offs for a total of 34 yards...his longest was 16 yards against Northern Colorado.
High School: Played for Clark Eakes at Felix Varela Senior High School, where he was a two-way starter...had 58 rushing attempts for 389 yards...recorded three receptions for 198 yards...returned six punts for 125 yards, including one TD...defensively had 82 tackles and eight interceptions, two for a score...earned second-team All-Dade honors and was the team[apos]s MVP...three-sport athlete (football, basketball and track).
