At Florida Atlantic
Muldoon will serve as a graduate assistant and will focus his attention on the defensive side of the ball, more specifically with the defensive linemen. His move to FAU will be his first experience as a coach; however, he will do so with familiarity of both the head coach and the defensive line coach. Muldoon played for both while suiting up for the Badgers.
Playing Career
Muldoon was a consensus All-Big Ten honorable mention selection in 2013 and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree (2010, 2012). The Ohio native, who played in every 2013 game and drew 10 starts, earned his fourth Badger letter. Muldoon was a member of four bowl teams and appeared in three-consecutive Rose Bowls. He concluded his four-year career with 49 games played, 64 tackles including 12.5 tackles for a loss of 46 yards. He accumulated 6.5 sacks and two interceptions. Coming out of high school Muldoon was ranked as the nation's No. 28 best defensive end and the 32nd best player in the state of Ohio. He earned first-team All-State, All-City, All-District and All-League as a senior and was named Ohio Defensive Player of the Year. Those accolades were just a continuation of his junior year's performance, year that he earned Second Team All-State, First-Team All-District, All-City and All-League honors. In all he recorded 170 tackles as a three-year letter winner and served as team captain his senior season.
