Joined the staff as a student in the summer of 2018 and ws elevated to a defensive graduate assistant in August of 2020 after being a part of a defensive staff that transformed its unit in 2019 and were instrumental in the Owls return to the C-USA elite by capturing FAU's second C-USA title in three seasons and taking its second Boca Raton Bowl title in three years.
Prep Playing Career
Pooch was a four years starter at Monsignor Farrell, where he was named as a OLB on the CHSFL all-star team his senior season.
Collegiate Playing Career
Pooch played two seasons at Stevenson University, but his collegiate playing career was shortened after numerous injuries and surgeries. He then elected to end his playing career and begin his coaching journey and transferred to FAU as a student assistant.
