Connor Hannafey joined the FAU Baseball staff in the fall of 2024 after spending the previous summer at the Miami Marlins Player Development facility in Jupiter, Fla.
With the Marlins, Hannafey operated the complex's Trackman system to ensure data tracking on pitching and hitting metrics for the FCL team, as well as operating the Hawkeye program to ensure quality data for their minor league affiliates.
Before the Marlins, Hannafey had worked directly with the Caribbean Baseball Organization and CEO Mario Signorello. Hannafey acted as a liaison between staff and coaches/Major League Scouts and assisted in daily game and staff schedule coordination operations.
Hannafey also was nominated to the Executive Board of the Sports Analytics Club at Florida State University, where he graduated in Sport Management in the Spring of 2023.
Hannafey got his start running Social Media, Statistical Analysis, and Scouting for the runner-up Vipers Baseball Club within the Collegiate League of the Palm Beaches in the Summer of 2021.
Hannafey is currently pursuing an MBA in Sports Management, and he is expected to graduate in 2025.
