2019 (Freshman)
Two-way player saw the majority of the beginning portion of the season as the team's starting shortstop before transitioning, successfully, into the weekend starting rotation
Was rewarded for success in each facet of his game as Conference USA All-Freshman
Had back-to-back two-hit games in his first two starts, against Monmouth and Northeastern, picking up an RBI in each win as well
Led the team and tied for the conference lead with 11 sacrifice bunts
Showed off tremendous defense, committing just three errors in 94 total chances at shortstop
Started 18 of 24 games in the field from March 9 to April 20, and at that point, had appeared in just five games as a pitcher, allowing one run in 6 2/3 innings (a 1.35 ERA)
Was called upon for a relief outing on April 21 at WKU and responded with three scoreless innings
Would start in the final game of the final four series of the season, including his first collegiate win (seven innings of four-hit, one-run baseball at UTSA)
