Tyler Krull joined the Owls' baseball program in the summer of 2020 as the team's graduate assistant, following a four-year playing career at Bethune-Cookman. 
As a member of the Wildcats, Krull made 60 career appearances, 31 of which were starts. He earned 11 victories and was a four-year member of the weekend starting rotation. Twice, the team was MEAC champions, as well as making two NCAA Regional appearances in Gainesville.
A native of West Palm Beach, Krull played his high school baseball at Cardinal Newman. He was the team's starting pitcher in all three regional appearances and had 15 wins and a 3.08 career ERA. He was Team MVP, an Honorable Mention Small Schools Player of the Year member, multiple all-star selection and Class 4-A All-District.
Prior to coming to FAU, Krull has had previous coaching experience with the Delray Beach Lightning of the South Florida Collegiate Baseball League as well as at Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas.
Krull received his bachelor's degree in health and exercise science from Bethune-Cookman in May of 2019, earning a cumulative 3.88 GPA. He was a member of the Preisdents List all throughout college. Currently, he is pursuing his MBA in sport management at FAU.
