Owen Kling is entering his second year as a student manager for the baseball team, heading into the 2022 season.
During his time so far with FAU, Kling's duties have been helping set up for practices, operating the scoreboard during scrimmages, scorekeeping for Synergy during home games, handling player walk-up music, assisting with field maintenance, and other responsibilities as assigned by the coaching staff.
Prior to coming to FAU, he was the head student baseball manager at Viera High School in Melbourne, Florida for the entire 2019 spring season and the shortened 2020 spring season. In this position, his duties included setting up for practices, announcing for home games, managing player walk-up songs and videoboard graphics, and keeping statistics through Gamechanger for away games.
He also served as student baseball manager at Shawnee Mission Northwest High in Shawnee, Kansas for the 2018 spring season, keeping statistics electronically through Gamechanger and assisting with practices/field maintenance.
Kling is a current FAU student majoring in business management. He is expected to graduate in spring of 2024.
