MASCOT AVAILABILITY
FAU Sporting EventsOwlsley is unavailable for outside bookings the entire FAU football game day, both home and away. Prior to home games, Owlsley can be found at: the Owl Walk, the student tailgate, Alumni Center and FAU Athletics Pregame events.

Peak Academic Times
Because both Owlsley and Hoot pay attention to their studies as true FAU students, there may be times during the middle and end of each semester that appearances are limited.

EVENT REQUIREMENTS
Time RestrictionsOwlsley will require two 15-minute breaks per hour period. Appearances are for one hour unless requested otherwise.
There are no discounts for shorter appearances.

Weather
Owlsley and Hoot cannot be outside during inclement weather, the mascot handler will make the decision based on the Owlsley and Hoots' safety. They may excuse themselves from an outdoor appearance in the event of inclement weather. This will be communicated with any sponsor or promoter prior to seeking shelter. Staff will assist in the rescheduling of event in the case of inclement weather. Additional charges may apply.

Photos and Branding Policy
All photos taken of mascot team members at events are for private and personal use only. No photos may be taken for promotional purposes or with business signage for the purpose of promoting the event or a business in the future. Licensing fees, or a cease-and-desist notice will be issued should parties not adhere to this policy.

Change Room Requirements
Owlsley will need a secure place to change. This location will need to be somewhere they can leave their personal belongings during the appearance and should not be far from the appearance location. While changing, they cannot be visible to the public. The changing space must not be a bathroom. The changing space should be easily accessible following the conclusion of their appearance to allow for a quick exit.

Impermissible Appearances
Members of the mascot team will not appear at events that may be reasonably construed as advancing a political agenda or the commercial interests of a business entity that is not a sponsor of Florida Atlantic University Athletics (e.g., store grand opening, political rally). If the business entity is a sponsor of FAU Athletics, said event would fall under Level Three pricing.

Accommodations
- Parking - Please provide reasonable parking for the Mascot and Spirit Squad members attending your event. If required, a parking pass must be provided
- Refreshments – Please provide a minimum of two unopened bottles of drinking water for any event regardless of location or sponsor
- Handler – An individual to serve as a liaison between the mascot and the requester's organization and to accompany the mascot for the duration of the appearance. If a handler cannot be provided by event sponsor, one will be provided by the mascot team for an additional charge of $50 (flat fee)
MASCOT PRICING
FAU Student Organizations and Charitable Organizations (Level One)
- Appearances for each FAU student organization will fall under Level One pricing.
- Payment (if applicable) must be paid through FAU marketplace or Workday journal transfer once reservation is confirmed
- Charitable Organizations (must provide status)
- Appearances for each charitable organization will fall under Level One pricing
- Payment must be paid by credit card through FAU Marketplace in advance of Mascot appearance and once reservation is confirmed
- Payment must be received a minimum of 48 hours prior to event to ensure attendance
- Appearances for each FAU student organization will fall under Level Two pricing
- Payment (if applicable) must be paid through FAU marketplace or Workday journal transfer once reservation is confirmed
- Each appearance for external organizations, local businesses and corporate events will fall under Level Three pricing
- Payment must be paid by credit card through FAU Marketplace in advance of Mascot appearance once reservation is confirmed
- Payment must be received a minimum of 48 hours prior to event to ensure attendance

$150 / Hour (Owlsley or Hoot)

External Organizations, Athletics Sponsors, Local Businesses and Private / Corporate Events
$250/ Hour, plus applicable state/local taxes (Owlsley or Hoot)

RESERVATION AND CONFIRMATION PROCESS
Requests cannot be reviewed or accepted more than four (4) months in advance and must be made at least three (3) weeks (21 working days) prior to the date of the event being requested.
- Fill out the Online Request form HERE
- Select Owlsley or Hoot for your event. If you would like both, 50% of the hourly fee will be added to overall cost.
- Once complete, you will receive an email to confirm that your information was submitted and is being reviewed
- Within two weeks prior to your event, you will be notified regarding the status of your request
- If your appearance CAN be covered, you will receive a statement of charges and appearance details via email confirming your appearance will be covered. Payment (if applicable) must be made within 48 hours of confirmation to reserve the Mascot
- If your appearance CANNOT be covered, you will be notified via email. We regret that we are unable to fulfill every request. Please review the information above regarding Mascot Availability and Event Requirements.
CANCELLATION POLICY
IF HIRER CANCEL - If cancellation occurs more than 10 business days of your event, you will be refunded 75% of your payment. If cancellation occurs less than 10 business days from your scheduled event date, no refund will be processed.Â
IF OWLSLEY OR HOOTÂ CANCELÂ - In the rare case that we become unable to fulfill a request that has been confirmed (due to illness, personal emergency, etc.), we will make every effort to provide at least 24 hours' notice and arrange or an alternative appearance. A refund will be issued if an alternative appearance cannot be scheduled.

- Mascot appearances at FAU sponsored events take priority
- Mascot team members are students, and their academic priorities take precedent over any requested event
