Bio
2023 (Senior)
- Led the pitching staff with 13 starts, primarily in the Saturday/game two slot
- Made three late season appearances out of the bullpen before returning to start in the C-USA Tournament against WKU
- In his final start as an Owl, delivered his best performance of the season against the Hilltoppers, tying a career high with seven innings
- He allowed just two runs on five hits and did not walk a batter
2022 (Redshirt Junior)
- Utlized mostly as a long relief option out of the bullpen
- Made five relief appearances of 5+ innings
- Recorded a season-high eight strikeouts in five shutout innings out of the bullpen on Apri 3 at Rice
- Earned his first career save with two scoreless innings on May 20 at Marshall
2021 (Second Sophomore Season)
- Only able to appear in two games before being shut down
- Threw five innings in the season opener against UCF, allowing just a run on four hits with six strikeouts
- Last start came March 12 versus Indiana State
2020 (Sophomore)
- Almost exclusively moved to the mound (with the exception of one at-bat) as the Friday Night starter
- In four starts, was 1-1 with a 4.29 ERA
- Nearly struck out a batter an inning, 19 in 21 IP. The innings pitched was most on the squad; the strikeouts second-highest
- Hitters batted just .243 against him
- Began the year with a four-hit, one-run rain-shortened outing against Delaware. Struck out four and didn't walk a batter
- Had the team's longest outing of the year, a seven-inning stint over Northeastern
- Struck out a career-high seven and allowed just two runs on six hits to pick up the win
2019 (Freshman)
- Two-way player saw the majority of the beginning portion of the season as the team's starting shortstop before transitioning, successfully, into the weekend starting rotation
- Was rewarded for success in each facet of his game as Conference USA All-Freshman
- Had back-to-back two-hit games in his first two starts, against Monmouth and Northeastern, picking up an RBI in each win as well
- Led the team and tied for the conference lead with 11 sacrifice bunts
- Showed off tremendous defense, committing just three errors in 94 total chances at shortstop
- Started 18 of 24 games in the field from March 9 to April 20, and at that point, had appeared in just five games as a pitcher, allowing one run in 6 2/3 innings (a 1.35 ERA)
- Was called upon for a relief outing on April 21 at WKU and responded with three scoreless innings
- Would start in the final game of the final four series of the season, including his first collegiate win (seven innings of four-hit, one-run baseball at UTSA)
- Saved his best start for last, with seven scoreless frames against Mercer in the NCAA Regional, earning another victory
- Overall, went 2-0 with a 3.38 ERA on the mound
- Off the field, was on the honor roll both semesters, each with a GPA over 3.0
- Played the summer after his freshman year for the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs
- Batted .302 with six doubles, one home run and 18 RBI
- Also had a spotless 0.00 ERA in six innings pitched, with two saves
High School
- Was runner-up for Player of the Year in Manatee/Sarasota County for coach Rich Glass at Palmetto High
- Led Florida District 8 in batting average (.429), slugging percentage (.615), stolen bases (15) and home runs (four) as a senior
- Also sported a 1.35 ERA on the mound
- Was All-County each of his sophomore, junior and senior seasons (and was Honorable Mention All-County as a freshman)
- Was a 2018 Rawlings-Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American, and was also Florida All-Region Second Team
- Ranked as the No. 15 shortstop in Florida by Perfect Game as well
