McCowan Press Conference to Air Live on ESPN+ Friday

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic community will welcome Vice President and Director of Athletics Josh McCowan during a press conference and reception on Friday afternoon. The press conference begins at 3 p.m. and will be shown live on ESPN+.

McCowan, who was officially appointed to the FAU position on July 31, comes to the Owls after spending the last three years as deputy athletics director/chief revenue officer and CEO of The Bulldog Club, Inc., at Mississippi State University. His more than 15-year career in college athletics also includes stints at Kansas State University – his alma mater, and the University of Colorado.
Taking the reins of the Owls as the school's seventh vice president and director of athletics, McCowan succeeds Brian White, who served FAU in that role for eight years. White departed on June 23, after accepting a similar position at Virginia Tech.
McCowan is regarded as an accomplished and respected college athletics administrator with proven fundraising and revenue generation success. He was named earlier this year as one of the Top 100 Future Athletics Directors by Silver Waves Media and is a member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD) Executive Committee
