BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic Athletics and FAU Sports Properties announced today a five-year partnership extension with Baptist Health, continuing and expanding the longstanding relationship between two prominent South Florida organizations.
As part of the renewed agreement, Baptist Health will continue to be recognized as the "Official Medical Team of Florida Atlantic Athletics," reflecting the organization's continued commitment to supporting Florida Atlantic student-athletes and the broader FAU Athletics community.
The five-year extension significantly expands Baptist Health's presence across Florida Atlantic's athletics facilities. New premium branding elements will include the Baptist Health Gate 1 at Flagler Credit Union Stadium, and marquee permanent signage placements on Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena and FAU's Baseball Stadium.
"Baptist Health is proud to extend and expand our partnership with Florida Atlantic. Our organizations share a deep commitment to excellence, innovation and serving the South Florida community," said Lincoln Mendez, Chief Executive Officer of Boca Raton Regional Hospital. "This partnership allows us to continue bringing expertise of our sports medicine physicians and care teams directly to FAU's student-athletes. We look forward to continuing to grow alongside FAU and supporting the health and success of its student-athletes, coaches and entire athletics community."
Baptist Health served as the game entitlement partner for this past Saturday's Florida Atlantic football game against Texas Southern University at Flagler Credit Union Stadium. As part of Baptist Health's on-site brand experience, they distributed cooling towels to fans as they entered through Baptist Health Gate 1. Earlier that week, members of Florida Atlantic's football team visited Boca Raton Regional Hospital showing appreciation for healthcare workers in the South Florida community by visiting with staff and distributing swag and complimentary tickets.
"Baptist Health is a trusted partner of Florida Atlantic Athletics and we're thrilled to extend this relationship well into the future," said Vice President and Director of Athletics Josh McCowan. "We are grateful for their ongoing support and commitment to our student-athletes, programs and community, and proud to have them keeping the Hometown Team in championship form."
This partnership is facilitated in conjunction with Florida Atlantic University's official multimedia rights holder, Playfly Sports.
"Baptist Health has served as an outstanding partner and an innovator in sports medicine and community wellness," said John Tull, General Manager of FAU Sports Properties (Playfly Sports). "Their commitment to the Florida Atlantic Athletics community, both on and off the playing field, is exceptional, and we are proud to continue our partnership for the next five years."
The renewed partnership builds upon Baptist Health's longstanding support of Florida Atlantic Athletics and further strengthens the relationship between the two organizations. In addition to its expanded presence across FAU Athletics facilities, Baptist Health will continue to connect with Owl fans, student-athletes and the South Florida community through a variety of partnership assets and initiatives throughout the year.
