Owls Host Tulane Tuesday for Senior Day

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's basketball team will close out its 2025-26 home slate on Tuesday, hosting the Tulane Green Wave for Senior Day. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Abessinio Court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

A LOOK AT THE OWLS

FAU enters Tuesday's senior day matchup at 12-16 overall and 6-10 in American play.
The Owls clinched their spot in the American Conference Tournament on Sunday and currently rank ninth in the league, looking to snap a three-game skid.
As a team, the Owls rank in the top 5 in the American in a variety of statistical categories, including leading the league in bench points per game (23.5), in addition to ranking fourth in 3-point attempts per game (20.9) and 3-pointers per game (6.5), and fifth in steals per game (8.8) and turnovers forced per game (16.9).
FAU's offense is paced by Erin Rodgers, who is averaging a team-best 10.5 points per game. Vivian Onugha ranks second for the Owls, averaging 9.2 points per game, while Grace Carstensen and Destyne Jackson round out the Owls' top four scorers, tallying 8.2 and 8.0 points per contest this season, respectively.
Carstensen leads the Owls and the American in 3-point percentage (.415), in addition to leading the team in 3-pointers made (59), which ranks fifth in the league.
The Owls are led on the glass by Onugha, who has collected a team-best 6.0 rebounds per game, while Haley Walker ranks second, collecting 5.8 boards per contest.
Jess Moors is the Owls' assists and steals leader, dishing out 3.2 assists per game and collecting a team-best 1.8 steals per contest this season.
Madi Gewirtz leads the Owls in blocks, recording 1.0 blocks per game, ranking fifth in the conference.

SCOUTING TULANE

Tulane enters Tuesday's matchup at 11-17 overall and 6-10 in league play. The Green Wave have won three of their last four contests, earning two wins over Memphis and one against Wichita State.
The Green Wave are led offensively by Kanija Daniel, Amira Mabry, and Mecailin Marshall. Daniel boasts a team-leading 11.5 points per game, while Mabry and Mecailin follow just behind, averaging 10.2 and 10.0 points per game, respectively.
Kendall Sneed leads the team in assists, dishing out 4.0 assists per game this season.
Defensively, the Green Wave are led on the glass by Dylan Hanna and Mabry, collecting 7.0 and 6.0 rebounds per game. Hanna also leads the team in blocks, tallying 1.5 blocks per game, and Daniel paces the Green Wave in steals, collecting a team-best 1.5 steals per contest this season.

SERIES HISTORY

Tulane leads the series between the Owls and the Green Wave, 4-1, including a slight 2-1 advantage when playing in Boca Raton. The Owls will look to snap a two-game skid against the Green Wave, including a 68-52 loss in the last meeting on Jan. 29, 2025, in New Orleans. The Owls' last win came on Feb. 28, 2024, when FAU earned an 80-67 win in Boca Raton.

LAST TIME OUT: VS. CHARLOTTE

The Owls fell 57-56 in a tough battle against the Charlotte 49ers last Tuesday at home.
Rodgers led the Owls on the night with 12 points, going 4-9 from the field and 2-2 from 3-point range.
Closely behind was Carstensen and Onugha with 11 points apiece.
Rodgers led the team in rebounds as well, tying for a game-high eight on the night.
The Owls shot 100 percent on free throws, going 7-7 at the line.
Florida Atlantic outshot Charlotte, shooting 45.7 percent from the field compared to the 49ers' 39.7 percent. They also led from beyond the arc, outshooting the 49ers 38.9 percent to Charlotte's 23.1 percent.
